Roger and Marilyn Reeck, Wycliffe Bible Translators

Roger grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. At a young age he became fascinated with languages. He attended Fort Wayne Bible College and decided to serve the Lord through Bible translation.

Marilyn grew up in Honduras as the child of missionaries. Her parents Archie and Maisie Cameron did church planting there. She met Roger at Fort Wayne Bible College.

They Married in the summer of 1971 and began their first translation work among the Zapotec Indian people of Mexico. Their four daughters were born there.

In 1990 they left Mexico and moved the family to Honduras and began translation work among the Garifuna people. The Garifunas already had the New Testament but needed the complete Bible.

At the moment Roger and Marilyn are basing out of Honduras. They continue to work toward the goal of the widespread use of the Garifuna Bible. They will also be traveling to Africa to support the beginning efforts of translation work in two countries there.

Their oldest daughter Christy, is a nurse married to Rigo Andino whom she met while working at a mission hospital in Honduras. They have two small children Anthony and Amanda. Their second daughter Teresa is teaching at a grade school while pursuing future studies. Amanda, the third will soon begin medical school and the last daughter, Elisa will begin teaching on the High School level.
